Night Diving Galapagos
The experience of diving at night is one of the most incredible adventures a diver can have. At night the marine world is another, many animals are more active at night than in the day. No doubt the experience is like going to space! Doing it in a safe place is definitely essential to have a great experience, the Academy Bay offers these conditions and at night it is a magnificent place to practice this adventure.

First, we will have our dive briefing and prepare the gear. Then, we will leave to our night diving dive site.

PUNTA ESTRADA
Location: It is located inside of Academy Bay, at 15 minutes navigation from Puerto Ayora.
Conditions of the place: This dive site is easy to dive. The topography is not too deep with reef of rocks and sandy bottoms
Activity: lobsters, reef sharks, sea turtles, sea stars, eels, rays, etc.
Requirements to take part in night diving:
- It is mandatory to hold a diver’s certification (PADI, NAUI, CMAS, etc)
- Complete the application form (will send that to you)
- Medical Certificate if declaring any medical condition
- Minimum age to participate: 15 years
Depending on the season it can be cold in the evening. Long and warm clothes can be helpful if you want to change directly after the dive.
